Spiritual Sunday

Here’s a lovely poem by Lucille Clifton about God’s promise of forgiveness. Its power lies in its simplicity.

God waits for the wandering world
he expects us when we enter
late or soon
he will not mind my coming after hours
his patience is his promise

  • Literature is as vital to our lives as food and shelter. Stories and poems help us work through the challenges we face, from everyday irritations to loneliness, heartache, and death. Literature is meant to mix it up with life. This website explores how it does so.
